Fusion 13 Windows Scripting Host How-to-Create Scripts

You can use either Notepad or the DOS program Edit.com to create .vbs scripts.

Notepad

Open Notepad, and type the script code in the Notepad Window (for a little more information on this subject, go to Scripting Host Info). Here comes the important part: When you are ready to save your script, choose File > Save As... Now pull down the 'Save As Type' menu, and choose 'All Files', then for 'File Name' type the name that you want for your script, then put the '.vbs' extension at the end of the script name. Adding this extension to the normal ASCII text file creates an ASCII text file that will by default be associated with WScript.exe. This is what makes an at first normal looking text file a Visual Basic Script.

Edit.com

You need to know DOS to use Edit.com. If you know DOS, type edit.com at the command prompt, and use keyboard shortcuts (such as Alt+F to access the 'File' menu) then save the file with a '.vbs' extension as described above.
